Headache & Migraine Treatment
At Victoria Sports and Rehabilitation Clinic we combine Osteopathy and ‘The Watson Headache Approach’ to conservatively manage the complex nature of headache and migraine.
Our focus is to provide our patients with an effective approach to the treatment and management of headache and migraine. We utilise an evidence based manual therapy approach to examine the upper cervical spine and determine its role in headache and migraine. If we believe your cervical spine (neck) is contributing to your headache/migraine we will develop a personalised treatment approach tailored to your specific situation.
The primary objectives of our treatment plans are to:
Decrease headache frequency
Decrease headache intensity
Improve quality of life
We acknowledge that each patient is unique, we therefore take the time needed to understand each patient’s situation and develop a treatment plan tailored with their goals in mind.
If we feel as though your headaches aren’t related to a musculoskeletal issue, we will refer you to the relevant specialist.
We aim to combine headache prevention strategies, Osteopathy, ‘The Watson Headache Approach’ and advanced rehabilitation techniques to help our patients effectively manage their headaches and migraines. We continually investigate the most recent headache and migraine research, integrating this into our treatment approach. We have dedicated our time to treating headache and migraine because we know all too well the effect it can have on patients’ lives, as we have also suffered from headaches and migraines ourselves.
