Pilates – Lockdown 2.0

Due to the second lockdown in Metro Melbourne we have paused our small group clinical pilates classes. We pride ourselves on developing individualised programs for our patients to assist with their musculoskeletal health and can assist you with a home program if needed.

We will be releasing new at home sessions on YouTube, which you can complete in the comfort of your own home. If you have missed our last lockdown sessions you can find them here. These sessions are generic and may not be suitable for everyone. During the session, Tracy Vuat – Osteopath/Clinical Pilates Instructor may suggest variations to the exercises being performed. If you have any doubt regarding your ability to perform the movement please refrain from completing the exercise. Session One

This workout is designed to target your glutes! The workout includes exercises of varying difficulty to have a strong, targeted workout as well as stretching at the end. This workout can be done on its own or can be added to another session if you want to feel a bit more of a burn in the glutes!


Session Two

This workout is designed to target your core! You will need a soft Pilates ball (slightly deflated) or chi ball to complete all of the exercises but if you don’t have one it is perfectly fine to do the exercises without one. The exercises included are varying levels of difficulty and it is important to stop if you are experiencing any back pain and stick to the beginner exercises if you are just starting to train your core. This workout can be done on its own or can be added to another session if you want to feel a bit more of a burn in the abdominals!


Session Three

This workout is an all over body workout including your abdominals, glutes, back and arms. To complete all of the exercises you will need a soft pilates ball and small hand weights. This session can be completed on its own as it also includes stretching and mobility exercises, or feel free to combine other weeks sessions with it.
