Treatment Approach
Michelle incorporates many techniques into her treatments including soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, patient education, and exercise prescription specific to the individual. She adopts a holistic approach, treating the source of pain and dysfunction rather than symptoms alone. Michelle treats an array of conditions including back, neck pain and sporting injuries having experienced many herself. 

Michelle also enjoys treating pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain having completed her Masters research on the efficacy of manual therapy alongside Pilates to treat pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain. Michelle’s history as a Pilates instructor has allowed patients to exercise safely through their pregnancy, rehabilitate sporting and chronic injuries.

Michelle has completed further courses in Women’s Pelvic Health at the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institution of Australia – Pelvic Floor Level 1 (Internal) and Pelvic Health Melbourne – Pelvic Health Foundations and APPI Natal/Post Natal Pilates. She has further developed her skills by working closely with Pelvic Health Physiotherapists to integrate pelvic floor assessment findings with functional movement. Michelle has a strong interest in treating pelvic pain, pelvic girdle pain and postnatal abdominal separation and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Michelle is fully registered with the Osteopathy Board of Australia and with Osteopathy Australia.

About Michelle
Michelle graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy). Michelle has completed further pilates training in APPI Reformer & Matwork. Away from work Michelle enjoys practicing her own Pilates, running, and indulging in way too many coffees!
